How to Care

When planting your Honeycrisp Apple tree be sure to choose the right location and conditions for your new tree to thrive. Spring and Fall are ideal times to plant. However, if you avoid freezing temperatures and extreme heat you can plant your Apple tree almost any time of the year.

Apple trees thrive in full sun and well drained soil. Water deeply when planting and twice weekly for 3 months while your tree is establishing. For the first year, we recommend watering deeply once weekly in spring and summer and once monthly in fall in winter after the establishment period. After the first year you will only need to water during dry spells.

Adding a layer of 2 to 3 inches of mulch is recommended especially with newly planted trees. Do not allow the mulch to touch the trunk as this increases the chances of pests and disease. Fertilize in early spring and when planting to give your tree a boost. Choose a slow release fertilizer. When planting take care not to burn the roots by mixing the fertilizer into the soil before placing your tree in the hole.

Prune your Apple in late winter to remove any dead, dying, or crowded branches. The best way to prevent disease and pests is by providing the appropriate care for your plants. Proper location choice, watering, and fertilization are the keys to your success. Scale, Aphids, Mites, and Apple Maggots are insects that can affect Apple trees.

You can treat the scale, mites, and aphids naturally with horticultural oil, neem oil, or insecticidal soap. For severe infections, you can use pesticides like carbaryl, also known as Sevin. Apple Maggot can be treated simply with traps you can purchase at any garden center. Apple trees can encounter fungal issues.

Generally, treating after infection isn't extremely effective, so if you have problems yearly treat in early spring with fungicides to prevent infection. Neem Oil is an organic method of treating and preventing some fungal diseases and pests. It can be effective, but the entire tree must be coated in order for this method to be effective.

Landscape Ideas

Apple trees are lovely in the landscape. Use them like you would any other flowering tree! They offer an attractive look, blooms, AND a healthy snack! Use as a specimen or focal tree in your yard, garden, or even a large mixed bed. Apple trees look gorgeous lining a long driveway or on either side of a short one. Plant your Honeycrisp apple tree at least 15 feet from other trees or your home to give it plenty of space to thrive.

nice stand, quick easy setup
Size: Quad, Style: Glass Free Stand
nice stand, easy setup, I like that you mount the bracket to the monitor first and then hook it onto the stand. This makes for a quick and easy setup. You do have to wrench down on the screws to keep the monitors from moving. Also you may want to have 4 of the exact same monitors so they all are at same height. I have two that are the same and two others that are different so they dont all mount at same level. I plan on ordering monitors to match.

Great stand for the price!
Size: Quad, Style: Glass Free Stand, Size: Quad, Style: Glass Free Stand
It is a great stand. I was able to put everything together myself. Just wanted to point out a couple of things here. I have 2, 27" flat montors and 2, 37" curved monitors. Now the description says it will go up to 27", but I was able to get the 37" ones on this stand also. You can put them side by side - they will fit, but make sure you don't go over the weight limit, so for mine, to be sure I didn't exceed the weight limit, I have the bottom of them sitting on the and foot of the frame itself. You will not be able to angle them inwards toward yourself if you have 37" curved monitors. This is what I was hoping to do I just needed an extra inch on each side to move them out, for now I will just leave them side by side. For assembly, because I was doing this by myself, I found it easiest to leave all the moveable parts loose and lay the monitors out on the floor face down in the position I wanted them in (NO CABLES). Then I took the mostly assembled frame and adjusted it to my monitors. I put the plates on the monitors and then slid the appropriate piece of the frame onto each plate, still leaving most parts slightly loose (giving myself just enough play to move things around when I stood it up). I then stood the frame up and firmed down all the fittings once I got everything where I wanted it. I then lifted the entire stand with monitors up onto my desk and then began plugging in all the cables and cords. I really like the stand and it is a great value for the price. It is very sturdy with my setup. I just wish it had about an extra inch on at least the bottom two arms, but overall, definitely a great stand. (sorry for the bad photo but these are my work monitors and I could not show what was on the screens)

Perfect! Level monitors, small footprint!
Size: Dual, Style: Glass Free Stand, Size: Dual, Style: Glass Free Stand
Perfect! This was the 3rd monitor stand I purchased this month. The others either were too bulky of a base and/or I could never get the monitors level! This is perfect! Was easy to assemble and it’s easy to move them & adjust tilt & spacing.
